Age Requirement For CELPIP
Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program or CELPIP is an English language assessment tool that assesses hearing, reading, writing, and speaking skills. Paragon Testing Enterprises, a division of the University of British Columbia, is in charge of administering the exam (UBC).
The CELPIP-G and CELPIP-General LS examinations are both computerised. The CELPIP – General is targeted at a certain age group, usually between the ages of 14 and 64. The CELPIP – General – LS, on the other hand, is mostly for minors aged 14 to 17.
Applicants between the ages of 14 and 64 must achieve the basic language standards in French or English in speaking and listening. The revisions to the Citizenship Act were introduced by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in June 2015.
Hence, applicants between the ages of 14 and 64 must now achieve basic language standards in listening and speaking in English or French, which is a significant change and minors between the ages of 14 and 17 are eligible to register for the CELPIP-General LS Test.
