The CELPIP – General Test assesses a test taker’s English listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills and is approved by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residency applications as well as professional designations. The passing score for CELPIP is determined by the conditions of your Canada immigration application. The CELPIP ‘passing score’ for Express Entry, for example, would be a minimum of 7 points in each category. You can receive a maximum score of 24 points for your language.
