The CELPIP - General LS Test
We all know that there are two versions of the CELPIP Test. One is the CELPIP- General test and the other is the CELPIP – General LS Test, where LS stands for Listening and Speaking.
The CELPIP – General LS test is used for citizenship applications and professional designations to assess the exam taker’s English speaking and listening skills. It takes around an hour to complete this test and can be completed in one sitting without the need for a separate speaking session. The IRCC has authorised the CELPIP – LS test for Canadian citizenship applications.
In this article, we are going to list the format for the CELPIP – General LS Test.
There are two parts to the CELPIP – General LS Test: Listening and Speaking.
Listening
Time allotted for Listening: 47-55 minutes

Unscored Items: The Listening and Reading Tests contain unscored items that were utilised in the preparation of the tests. These unscored items will have the same format as the scored items and can be found throughout the Listening and Reading Tests. You won’t be able to identify the difference between scored and unscored things, so give it your all throughout the test.
